RHN Volunteers Orientation Program

I'd like to thank Raise Hands Nepal for giving me an opportunity to facilitate an orientation program with New Volunteers (Monsoon batch) of RHN. And I am so happy to meet such young-energetic youths from Chitwan. I believe together we can bring the change, and yes, we dream for better Chitwan. Thanks for listening to my boring stories. Wish you all the best for your happy-wala future.

Thanks for your interest in National Volunteering Program.

Around 25 volunteers from various colleges or professions from Chitwan participated the orientation program. CEO of RHN Mr. Santosh Rasaili welcomed all the participants and presented the history of the organization, its structure, objectives and the working areas. He also explained about the challenges that could arise during Volunteering Period and some techniques to overcome them.

Mr. Bimal Sharma; also the campaign lead of 'Save the Snake' explained about the various activities done by RHN. He further enlightened on the campaigns RHN is doing and will be doing in near future. He informed that all the volunteers will get an opportunity to volunteer on various programs of RHN. They have to Volunteer for minimum of 6-9 months or should Volunteer on at a least 4 different programs that will be conducted by RHN to get a membership of RHN.

Mr. Rajiv Kafle who is also a Team lead of 'Youth of Chitwan' and the campaign lead of 'Green Chitwan Green City' motivated youths by sharing his volunteering experiences among the participants.
Overall, it was a fruitful program. We aim to form a pool of 1000 volunteers by the end of '015 in Chitwan. And I believe, first batch of Volunteers will enjoy their volunteering experiences at RHN.
