International Youth Day 2013

Today is August 12, 2013; UN’s International Youth Day. This year the theme is "Youth Migration: Moving Development Forward.”

In countries like Nepal young migrants contribute a lot in the economic development through the remittances they sent to their family. But it is the most to raise the awareness on the opportunities and risks of youth migrations which is also limiting the youth manpower of the countries as they migrate and permanently settle there.  Unstable Government, fewer employment opportunities and a social pressure; they are foremost reason for young migration.

I just can dream the day when young people from foreign countries like US, Japan, German will yearn to migrate to Nepal as now we are in hunger to migrate to those places. Can we create such an opportunities for Youths within our country? Let’s hope.
